Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to make a custom blade?

Each blade is made entirely by hand, so lead times vary depending on complexity and current workload. Generally, expect 2–6 weeks for a custom order. I'll give you a more accurate estimate when we discuss your project.

What materials do you use?

I work with quality steels suited for the intended use of each blade. Handle materials vary — wood, natural materials, and more — depending on your preference and the blade's purpose. Just ask and we can discuss options!

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! I ship from Durbe, Latvia, and can send blades internationally. Shipping costs and times will depend on your location.

How do I care for my blade?

Keep your blade clean and dry after use. Apply a light coat of oil occasionally to prevent rust. Store it in a dry place, ideally in a sheath. A well-cared-for blade will last a lifetime.

What's the difference between stock removal and forged blades?

Stock removal means shaping the blade by grinding steel down to the desired form. Forging involves heating and hammering the steel into shape. Both methods can produce excellent blades — the choice depends on the design and intended use.

Can I request a specific size or handle material?

Absolutely! Every blade I make is unique. Just reach out through the Contact page and tell me what you have in mind — size, shape, handle material, intended use — and we'll work it out together.
